- Click on the Tools menu and select Options.

- Locate the checkbox option "Allow starting in Reading Layout".
- Put a check in the checkbox to turn on the feature.
- Clear the checkbox to turn off the feature and view documents in normal mode.
- Put a check in the checkbox to turn on the feature.
- Click OK to save the option changes.
If the document is currently in Reading Layout mode, click on the View menu and select Normal to view the document normally.
