Recycle Bin rename option

To add an option to rename the Recycle Bin icon, do the following:

  1. Open Registry Editor (Start>Run>regedit).
  2. Navigate to the following key:
    HKCR\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder.
    NOTE: HKCR is the abbreviation for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
  3. Double-click on the value called Attributes.
  4. Change the 40 to a 50.
    NOTE: This should be the first hex byte in the string.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close Registry Editor.
  7. Click on a vacant area of the desktop and press F5 to refresh the screen.

NOTE: It may take a restart for the change to take effect.
