Access GuardianOS Debug Page

(Article ID: 001138)

The GuardianOS operating system has a hidden debug page that allows server administrators to access the underlying Linux operating system from the server's web interface. Care should be taken when accessing this page as it allows you to manipulate the server's operating system directly.

To access the debug page for the GuardianOS operating system open a web browser to http://<Server DNS name or IP address>/admin/debug.cgi. Enter the username and password of a local user with administrative rights on the server.
NOTE: The address may have to start with https if SSL is enabled on the server.

A page will load with a field that says "Command" and will be followed with an "OK" button. The commands that are available are Linux commands and behave in much the same way (if not identical) to a regular Linux installation. Some commands may not be available (i.e. the man command). Use the pwd command to find out what the present working directory is.
